What is the difference between translation and interpreting?

Translation is the rendering of written text from one language to another whereas interpreting is the rendering of spoken word.

Why use a human translator?

Using a qualified human translator is the best way to guarantee the delivery of high quality work. Machine translation is unreliable and cannot accurately render text relating to cultural issues or metaphors, for example. On the other hand, I, as a human translator, take your needs as a client into account and make use of my linguistic skills and cultural knowledge in order to ensure a flawless end product.
